We’re counting down the days until we attend the 2013 Greenwich Wine & Food Festival on Saturday, October 5. Just like last year, the festival will hold its its 2nd Annual Burger Battle. However, for the first time this year, fans can vote online for their favorite Burger Battle contestant in the new Foodie’s Choice Award.

The following restaurants will be participating in the Burger Battle.

Bobby Q’s Pit Stop, Greenwich, CT

Dan Rooney’s Café & Bar, Yonkers, NY

My Favorite Place, Cos Cob and Norwalk, CT

NOLA Oyster Bar, Norwalk, CT

Plan B Burger Bar, Stamford CT

Shake Shack, Westport, CT

Chef Johnson’s Johnson Truck, Scarsdale, NY

These local restaurants will prepare their best full-size burgers for celebrity judges Graham Elliot and Richard Blais as well as host Joe Bastianich, on Saturday night. Two winners will be announced at 7pm and receive $500.

“The Burger Battle drew a huge crowd at our event last year, and we’re ecstatic to bring it back in a bigger and better way this year,” says Suni Unger, Founder and CEO of Unger Publishing, the publisher of Serendipity magazine. “We’re excited about the launch of the Foodies Choice Award which allows fans to go online and vote for their favorite of these seven local burgers.”

So Westchester and Fairfield County residents- here’s your opportunity to vote for your favorite burger place! Online voting is open at www.facebook.com/GreenwichFoodWineFestival, and will close on October 1.

Tickets for the 2013 Greenwich Wine & Food Festival, including the Kick-Off Party, the Grand Tasting Gala and Culinary Village are still available at www.greenwichwineandfood.com or call (203) 588-1363.
