We’re sure you’ve experienced one of the following scenarios: 1) After a long day of work, you just don’t feel like cooking 2) It’s the weekend and you feel like trying a new place 3) You have a friend in town and want to treat him/her to a nice meal.
Between the two of us, these scenarios are sure to pop up once in awhile. As Westchester County residents, we’re thankful for all the different and delicious places to eat around the area. Here is a quick sample:Carlo’s Restaurant 666 Tuckahoe Road Yonkers, NY 10710
Whether we eat there or take it to go, Carlo’s Restaurant has become our go-to place for slices of pizza and Italian food.Little Thai Kitchen 13 Popham Road Scarsdale, NY 10583
One lazy Sunday, we decided that cooking didn’t fit into the agenda and came across this place on Yelp to fulfill our desire for Thai food. Our dishes had the perfect amount of spice and filled us up for the rest of the day.Chutney Masala 4 West Main Street Irvington, NY 10533
In the quaint town of Irvington, which we often visit, we took a friend to dinner here for a taste of India. This place did not disappoint. Not only did we enjoy the food but we enjoyed the hospitality of Sonny, the manager. He is always welcome and engaging to us and everyone else that eats at the restaurant.Candlelight Inn 519 Central Park Ave Scarsdale, NY 10583
Known for their classic wings, people in the area always find their way to Candlelight Inn on the weekends. We were fortunate enough to avoid the usual long lines by eating at the bar. If you like wings, you’ll have plenty of tasty choices to choose from. We enjoyed the waffle fries just as much as their “famous” wings! Just a quick reminder that this place is CASH ONLY.
We’re sure as time passes, we’ll have more local places to write about in the future. Until then, share with us some of your favorite places to eat in your town/county!
