On Tuesday evening, our friend Francine Segan invited us to a press event hosted by the Italian Trade Commission of NYC. We had the opportunity to meet Pier Pablo Celeste, the newly appointed Italian Trade Commissioner, sample some of Francine’s delectable treats and meet fellow bloggers and journalists. In addition to learning more about Italy’s current and future trade prospects, we learned that their offices on the Upper East Side were once home to Jackie Kennedy Onassis!
The Italian Trade Agency ’s network of five offices develops, facilitates, and promotes trade between Italy and the US across multiple sectors fostering consolidation in the US marketplace. While this event focused on food, we know there’s much more that these two countries have to offer one another!
As big fans of pasta and everything Italy, we’re excited to see what plans the new commissioner has in store to promote and connect Italian businesses together throughout NYC and beyond. For more information on the Italian Trade Agency, visit their website. Of course, visit Francine’s webpage to see where she’ll be next. You’ll be in for a great treat!
