What are weekends for if not exploring, catching up with friends and enjoying good food? We did a little bit of all three last weekend!
The day started with a visit to the Bronxville Farmers Market. It was our first time there this season and we enjoyed picking up some local favorites including rhubarb, bread from Central Bakery Artisan Oven, smoked mozzarella from Bambino’s Ravioli and of course, sour dill pickles from Doc Pickle! We’re looking forward to many Saturdays at the farmers market this summer!
Our next stop was Williamsburg, Brooklyn for Smorgasburg— what a scene! The long lines for lobster rolls and ramen burgers posed a challenge but we enjoyed jerk chicken, Indian-inspired tacos, fried anchovies and ice cream sandwiches.
We capped off our day of eating with a visit to Patsy’s in East Harlem. When you walk into Patsy’s you immediately feel the history of the restaurant as pictures of prominent stars, politicians and athletes grace the walls. Fans of Frank Sinatra will enjoy the large painting of the famed singer/actor.
Another thing you notice when you’re inside Patsy’s is the smell of great food, especially pizza! We ordered a Margherita pizza to go along with zucchini sticks. There is a reason why Patsy’s has been around for a long time-the food is delicious! Whenever we’re in East Harlem and have a craving for pizza, we make sure to stop by Patsy’s!
Have you been to the Bronxville Farmers Market or Smorgasburg yet this summer? How about Patsy’s? If so, please share you thoughts and pics with us on Twitter at @foodiepleasure and on Facebook!
