If you enjoy food, wine and meeting new people, get your calendar out! Next week promises two events that you won’t want to miss- and we should know as we’ve attended many of Francine Segan‘s talks and have enjoyed our share of food crawls.
Downtown Dishin’ in White Plains, NY
Being Westchester County residents, we enjoy visiting White Plains, a vibrant city with an ever-expanding food scene. To get a taste of what the city has to offer, Dishcrawl NYC is hosting a food crawl on Tuesday, June 17. Just like the brunch crawl we attended last week in Stamford, guests will enjoy small meals at three different locations. Here’s the catch: Guests don’t know where they’re going until the arrive at the restaurants, so it’s a great opportunity to try places you may otherwise look past. If you haven’t signed up for the crawl, what are you waiting for? Click here to get your tickets now. For a chance to win 2 free tickets, follow us (@foodiepleasure) and Dishcrawl NYC (@dishcrawlnyc) on Twitter and look for our posts. If you have any questions regarding the event, email Emily Giove, NY Dishcrawl Ambassador at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Undiscovered Italy: Umbria Talk and Tasting
Since meeting Francine Segan, all we can think about is Italy and all it has to offer: great food, delicious wine, fine art, beautiful landscapes and more! Next Thursday, Francine will be at the 92Y giving a talk on Umbria, called the “Green Heart of Italy” for its central location and warm people. Not only will you learn about the region, but you’ll also enjoy wine from Arnaldo Caprai and truffles from Urbani. If you’re in NYC next week and want to discover Italy, this talk is for you.
