Fried and True

Last week we had the chance to hang out in one of our favorite neighborhoods and enjoy some of our favorite foods. Ginny’s Supper Club, located in Harlem beneath Red Rooster hosted an event to celebrate Lee Brian Schrager’s Fried and True, an ode to fried chicken. The cookbook, featuring 50 recipes from established chefs for fried chicken and sides, is the perfect way to kick-off summer!

The event featured family-style fare and remarks from Marcus Samuelsson (Red Rooster), Elizabeth Karmel (Hill Country Chicken) and Charles Gabriel (Charles’ Country Pan Fried Chicken) in addition to music by Farrah Burns. In addition to the incredible food, we loved hearing the chefs share their passion for cooking and special memories of one another. Check out our pictures from the event!

Seriously, does it get better than fried chicken and all the fixin’s? We think not!

What’s your secret for the perfect fried chicken? We know this book is going to help us up our game!
