If you live in Westchester County (or anywhere in the Northern US, for that matter!), we bet you’re ready for all this snow to disappear and for spring to finally arrive! Once it warms up, we’ll have even more reason to indulge in sweet treats from Penny Lick Ice Cream. In a previous blog post, we learned more about Ellen Sledge, founder of the delicious company that not just makes ice cream, but provides catering options for many different types of events. After all, who wouldn’t want ice cream at their party?! Recently, we had the opportunity to not only taste Penny Lick again, but to also meet Ellen in person.
We sampled various flavors of ice cream, including Vanilla Bean, Milk Chocolate, Fresh Mint Chip and Ethiopian Macciato. To top it off, we enjoyed homemade hot fudge, maple syrup and butterscotch, all decadent and delicious! We even had root beer floats!
As we indulged in ice cream, we engaged in conversation with Ellen regarding her family, different events she’s catered and her culinary education. It was such a treat to get to know her– over sweet treats, of course!
If you’re in the mood for ice cream and can’t wait for the weather to get warmer, we suggest you enjoy some Penny Lick Ice Cream now! Visit the website for a list of flavors and follow on Twitter (@pennylickco) and Facebook to learn where the cart will be next!
