From reading our blog, you know we enjoy getting to know chefs and that we crave Thai food from time to time. We interviewed Chef Navjot Arora, co-owner of Irvington’s award-winning Chutney Masala, back in 2014 and are excited to learn that he has opened up a new Thai restaurant, Sambal Thai + Malaysian. Partnering up with Sushil Malhotra and Executive Chef Lucky Thai, Sambal offers the best of authentic Thai cuisine with organic ingredients, exotic herbs, and well-balanced dishes.
Items featured on the menu include Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Pineapple Fried Rice. For the more adventurous foodies, Chef Arora recommends the Pad Kra Prow or Chili Basil, dishes that are on the spicier side. For those looking to dabble in even more Thai authenticity, Chef Lucky recommends the Chicken Rendang.
Housed at Chutney Masala’s old location at 4 West Main Street in Irvington, the name and cuisine aren’t the only things that have changed. Chef Arora renovated the space to seat more guests, improve the functionality of the space and include and outdoor deck with spectacular views of the Hudson River.
Lunch hours are Monday – Sunday from 12:00 noon-3:00 p.m. Dinner hours are Monday – Thursday 5:00-9:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday 5:00-10:30 p.m., Sunday 3:00-9:00 p.m.
Happy Hour: Monday – Friday 4:30-6 p.m. at the bar and includes drink and appetizer specials. Takeout and Delivery Available.
